ACT Skills

Teaching participants the principles of Acceptance Commitment Therapy‭, ‬including perspectives on how we perceive and respond to‭ ‬our internal world‭.‬

Music Performance Anxiety

A workshop teaching participants how to identify and manage the effects of anxieties related to performing live at a show‭, ‬rehearsal or audition‭.‬

Peer Support Groups Timetable

Participants can attend at least one of the 7 Peer Support Groups that will run through the 12 month period. The purpose of the Peer Support Groups is to provide an open, confidential and non-judgemental space for young adults to share their experiences with others similarly at the start of their career in music. Below are all the dates for the groups.

Peer Support Group 1 (2024)

Sundays / 1.00-2.30pm

Thursdays / 7.00-8.30pm

Preventative Workshops

These workshops equip will help participants to learn about mental health skills.

Helping them to support themselves‭, ‬their peers and the wider music industry‭.

Intro to Mental Health

Teaching participants about common mental health difficulties in the music industry‭, ‬with guidance on how to support someone who‭ ‬may be struggling‭.‬

Substance Use Awareness

Teaching participants about substance use‭, ‬harm reduction and the pressures contributing to substance-related problems in the music industry‭.‬

Emotional Resilience

Teaching participants practical ways to build and develop emotional resilience‭, ‬including techniques to develop greater emotional awareness‭.‬
