Below you will find any relevant terms and conditions for all the events that TONIC participants throughout the year.

Barry's Flying Circus

General information 
Barry’s Flying Circus is an annual TONIC fundraiser founded by Tonic Patron and daredevil Barry Ashworth (Dub Pistols). It takes place at ‘AeroSuperBatics’ in Cirencester.


Once lined up the pilot will throttle up the engine,  release the brakes and you’re off! The propellor biting  into the air, the tips travelling faster than the speed of  sound, your friends and family will hear the bark of the  propellor as you accelerate across the grass. Your  adrenaline levels will go off the scale as the aircraft  quickly gathers speed on it’s take off run, just a few  seconds later you will feel the wheels leave the ground. 
Feel the tremendous sense of freedom as you fly through  the air, take in the unbelievably stunning views  surrounding the private airfield, whilst waving to friends  and family on the ground below. 


1.Types of Wingwalking available 

  • 1.1 Standard ‘First Time’ Wingwalk - First time wingwalkers cannot do aerobatics, but your adrenaline will hit new levels with this incredible flying experience. You will fly on the top wing of one a classic 1940’s Boeing Stearman biplane across the airfield and local area, passing over the wonderful countryside that surrounds the airfield. Then you'll past the viewing enclosure so that your friends and family can watch you, can take photos and video you flying past!

  • 1.2 Loop the Loop Wingwalk - For those who have already  performed the Standard ‘First Time’ Wingwalking  Experience, you qualify for the advanced Loop the  Loop Wingwalk. This mind blowing wingwalk provides  the adrenaline rush a Professional Team thrive for during their performances. This is one of the most  extreme things you will ever do in your life. 

  • 1.3 Formation Wingwalk - Share your experience with a  breathtaking formation wingwalk. On the top wing of  your respective aircraft, you will both take to the  skies in a simultaneous and spectacular performance  you’ll never forget. This incredibly unique  experience offering two wingwalkers the opportunity  to be part of their own private, formation  wingwalking display. 

  • 2. Are you fit to fly? 

  • 2.1 To be able to Wingwalk for Tonic, you must be: 

(a) 18 years old or over (no maximum age applies)

(b) No taller than 6ft 2” / 188cm  

(c) No shorter than 4ft / 121.92cm  

(d) No heavier than 14st / 89kg (wingwalking)

(e) No heavier than 12st / 76kg (wingseats)

(f) Have waist measurements including layers of warm clothing and a jacket of no more than 40  inches / 102cm 

(g) Able to climb completely unassisted up to and  own from the top of one of the Boeing  Stearman biplanes. This is a steep climb of approximately 10ft (3m), but you will be given full guidance by the professional wing-walker. 

(h) Are able to withstand the strong wind  pressures experienced while flying at speeds  of up to 120mph. 

(i) You have not suffered: Epilepsy, fits, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts, fainting fits or giddiness, disease of the brain or nervous system, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, recurrent weakness or dislocation of any limb, diabetes (you maybe able to fly if you are on stable medication), mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction. If you have any concerns with any health issues, please confirm with your GP whether you are safe to wing-walk.

  • 2.2 Please note, all health and safety information has  been provided by ‘AeroSuperBatics’. If you have any concerns or further questions regarding the safety  and eligibility of participants, please contact ‘AeroSuperBatics’. 

 

3. What should you wear on the day? 

  • 3.1 All essential items such as goggles and ear plugs are included on the day. However, you are required  to: 

(a) Wear trainers or soft grippy-soled secure shoes that fully cover your whole foot. 

(b) Remove all loose articles and loose clothing.

(c) Remove all jewellery.  

(d) You are advised to remove any dentures. 

  • 3.2 Small framed glasses can be worn underneath the goggles provided however, if they do not fit  comfortably, you will not be permitted to do so. 

  • 3.3 Contact lenses can be worn.  

 

4. Fundraising Totals 

  • 4.1 For individual wingwalks (Standard or Loop the  Loop) a minimum target of £1,000 per person must be raised. This excludes any contributions made by  ‘Gift Aid’. 

  • 4.2 For Formation Displays, a minimum target of £1,500  per person must be raised. This excludes any  contributions made by ‘Gift Aid’.

  • 4.3 I accept that if the fundraising total is not  reached, the remaining balance will be payable by  the Wingwalker. 

 

5. Setting up a Just Giving fundraising page 

  • 5.1 Once you have been sent a confirmation of your  successful application. You will be required to  create a Just Giving fundraising page. You will also need to set ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’ as  your chosen charity. This ensures all money is sent  directly to us. Once your page is set up, please send the link to luke@tonicmusic.co.uk 

  • 5.2 Your Just Giving page will allow you to keep track  of how much you have raised, as well as giving you  the opportunity to talk about why you are  

  • supporting ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’.  

  • 5.3 You must ensure that all donations are made through  your Just Giving page. If cash donations are  received, you are responsible for transferring this  money onto your Just Giving page in the form of a  new donation. 

 

6. Rules around Fundraising 

  • 6.1 I will endeavour to raise money for ‘Tonic Music  for Mental Health’ in connection with this event. 

  • 6.2 I will make clear to any contributor of my  fundraising efforts that any and all money will be  sent directly to ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’  for the benefit of: 

(a) The promotion of good mental health by  providing opportunities to participate in music and the arts.

(b) Providing mental health education and support  in music and the arts. 

  • 6.3 I accept that I will be responsible for any money  collected as donations for ‘Tonic Music for Mental  Health’. Any monies collected in connection with  this event are held on trust for ‘Tonic Music for  Mental Health’.  

  • 6.4 I will not hold a raffle, lottery or prize draw  without contacting ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’  first. 

  • 6.5 I understand that my own actions will be linked to  ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’. As such, I will  not behave in a way which could jeopardise the  reputation of ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’ or  disrupt the charity from achieving its objectives. 

 

7. Deposit  

  • 7.1 We require that all participants make a deposit of £200 after completing the entry form to secure  their place.  

  • 7.2 After you have completed your wingwalk and made  your donation to ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’ your deposit will be refunded back to you (minus a  £20 admin fee) via PayPal. 

  • 7.3 Please note, if you do not complete your wingwalk, or fail to reach your minimum target, your deposit will not be refunded, unless there are extenuating  circumstances.  

 

8. Use of your personal information 

  • 8.1 When you provide ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’  with your personal information, it will be used for  required administrative procedures, as well as contacting you to discuss your fundraising  activity. 

  • 8.2 All personal data held by ‘Tonic Music for Mental  Health’ will be kept in accordance with the  relevant privacy laws. 

 

9.Photography 

  • 9.1 The act of participating in the Barry’s Flying  Circus event, you are confirming that you are happy  for any video footage or photographs to be used for  the benefit of ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’.

Tonic Skydive 2024


1.Eligibility 

  • 1.1 As with many high risk & fast paced activities,  there are restrictions as to whether your personal  health and age will permit such activities. These  restrictions are not in any way set by ‘Tonic Music  for Mental Health’ but are instead set by ‘Go Skydive.com Limited’. If you have any questions or  concerns regarding the restrictions outlined below,  please contact ‘Go Skydive.com Limited’.

  • 1.2 To be able to participate, you must: 
    (a) Be over the age of 16. If you are between the  ages of 16 and 18, you will need to obtain the  consent of either a Parent or Legal Guardian. 
    (b) Be of no more than 18 stone / 114.3 kg. 
    (c) Have no medical conditions that a medical  professional would deem unsuitable for the participation of a skydive. You will be provided the ‘115a British Skydiving Medical  Form’ to conclude this. If necessary, you will  be provided with the ‘115b British Skydiving  Medical Form’ that will require your GP to sign.

  • 1.3 Please note, it is your prerogative to check if you  are able to meet the eligibility criteria before  signing up to the fundraiser.

  • 1.4 If you are between 15 stone (95kg) and 18 stone (114.3kg). You will need to contact ‘Go Skydive.com  Limited’ to check your suitability to participate.

  • 1.5 There are additional costs if you are over 15 stone  (95kg) due to higher operational costs. These are  priced at: 
    (a) 15-16 stone (95kg - 101.6kg) = £10 
    (b) 16-17 stone (101.6kg – 107.9kg) = £20 
    (c) 17-18 stone (107.9kg – 114.3kg) = £30 

2. What you should wear on the day 

  • 2.1 You will be provided with a jumpsuit on the day. As such, it is advised you wear comfortable clothing which is suitable to the weather conditions on the day. However, high collars and zips are not permitted. 

  • 2.2 Please wear footwear which has a flat sole and is  tight fitting. Footwear with hooks, heels or  buckles are not permitted.  

 

3. Fundraising Totals

  • 3.1 There is a minimum fundraising requirement of £800 for all participants.

  • 3.2 You accept that if the minimum total is not  reached, that you will pay the total remaining  balance, regardless of the size of this balance. 

 

4. Deposits

  • 4.1 A deposit of £120 will be required to secure your  place. 

  • 4.2 Once you have completed your skydive and ‘Tonic Music for Mental Health’ can confirm that your fundraising totals have been met, your deposit will be returned to you, with the deduction of a £20 admin fee. 

  • 4.3 If you are required to pay any additional fees, which are outlined at Section 1.5. This will also  be deducted from your deposit.
