What We Offer

Gig Anxiety

Gigs and concerts can create fantastic experiences, but they can also feel overwhelming. Crowds, unfamiliar venues, travel, noise and social situations may make it difficult for some fans to attend or fully enjoy live music.

Our Gig Anxiety Workshop explores some of the common thoughts and feelings that can contribute to anxiety around live events.

Participants are introduced to practical techniques that can help them prepare for an event, respond to anxiety when it arises and gradually build confidence. The aim is to help music fans make informed choices and develop strategies that help them attend gigs when they are ready.

Duration: 2 hour workshop

Album Club

At the heart of our support for music fans is the Album Club: an online group built around shared listening, conversation and connection. Think of it as a book club but for albums. Each Album Club explores a particular genre every six weeks, with a different album selected for each session. Participants listen to the album beforehand and then meet online to share their thoughts. The Album Club is not about having expert musical knowledge or reaching the “right” opinion. It is an opportunity to discover different perspectives, revisit familiar records, hear something new and enjoy meaningful conversations with other music fans. Each Club runs as a themed series, allowing the group to get to know one another and explore a range of albums together. From punk, new wave and reggae to soul, funk, rock and indie, different series celebrate different parts of music culture. The Album Club can offer: •  A regular opportunity to connect with other music fans •  Thoughtful conversations about albums, artists and genres •  A welcoming online music community •  New perspectives on familiar records •  The chance to discover music you may not have heard before Duration: 90 minutes (weekly)

Music for Mental Health

Music can be more than entertainment. Listening to music can also form part of the ways we comfort ourselves, manage our emotions and reconnect with the here and now.

Our Music for Wellbeing workshop introduces practical ways to use music during periods of stress or anxiety.

Activities may include creating emotion based playlists and exploring grounding exercises that incorporate music

.

The workshop focuses on listening, so participants do not need to sing, perform or play an instrument. It is suitable for any music fan interested in developing a more supportive relationship with the music they already enjoy.

Duration: 2 hour workshop

Festival Survival

Many music fans love the hustle and bustle of a festival, watching several of our favourite artists in a short space of time. However, at times we forget to look after ourselves when attending a festival.

Our Festival Survival workshop explores some of the factors that can affect mental health before, during and after a festival. These may include disrupted sleep, changes to normal routines, food and mood, substance use, physical activity, crowds and sensory overload.

Participants are encouraged to think ahead, recognise their own needs and create a realistic wellbeing plan. The workshop provides practical ideas for enjoying festivals while making space for rest, boundaries and self-care.

Duration: 2 hour workshop
