Helping music fans connect with others, build confidence and support their mental health - all United Through Music.

Music can be a source of joy, comfort and identity. It can connect us with other people, hold important memories and help us express feelings that are sometimes difficult to put into words.
Tonic Music are providing 3 new online Skills Workshops created specifically for music fans (alongside our weekly Album Club).
Whether you want to feel more confident attending live music, learn new ways to manage anxiety, or talk about albums with like-minded people, our support can help you stay connected to the music you love while looking after your mental health.
Gig Anxiety
Our Gig Anxiety workshop explores some of the common thoughts and feelings that can contribute to anxiety around live events, as well as introducing practical techniques that can help participants prepare for an event, respond to anxiety when it arises and gradually build confidence.

Facilitated by Jeordie Shenton.
This workshop has been made possible thanks to funding provided by Richer Sounds.
Music For Mental Health

These may include disrupted sleep, changes to normal routines, food and mood, substance use, physical activity, crowds and sensory overload.
Participants are encouraged to think ahead, recognise their own needs and create a realistic wellbeing plan. This workshop provides practical ideas for enjoying festivals while making space for rest, boundaries and self-care.

Album Club
The Tonic Music Album Club is an online group open to all music fans, to listen, reflect and share their thoughts on selected albums each week - think of it like a book club, but for albums! It is a great way to connect with fellow music fans from across the UK and talk about some of your favourite albums.
Each Album Club explores a particular genre every six weeks, with a different album selected for each session. Participants listen to the album beforehand and then meet online to share their thoughts.
The Album Club is not about having expert musical knowledge or reaching the “right” opinion. It is an opportunity to discover different perspectives, revisit familiar records, hear something new and enjoy meaningful conversations with other music fans.
Each Club runs as a themed series, allowing the group to get to know one another and explore a range of albums together. From punk, new wave and reggae to soul, funk, rock and indie, different series celebrate different parts of music culture.
Mondays @ 7-8:30pm
Facilitated by Dave Clark & Jeordie Shenton.
The Album Club has been made possible thanks to Richer Sounds Foundation and The National Lottery.
