About

Charity trustees play a very important role in making sure that the charity is run in the interests of the people it is there to support. They strategically oversee the management and administration of the organisation.

Tonic Music for Mental Health is a small but growing voluntary organisation with ambitious plans for future expansion of its services. We are a registered charity operating as a company limited by guarantee.

We are keen to recruit people who share our values, a passion for music, and an interest in mental health, but we are particularly keen to hear from people with:

  • an understanding of mental health

  • an interest in mental health

  • expertise in fundraising, promotions or public relations.

Tonic is an inclusive organisation that works with people from a broad range of ages, ethnic backgrounds, and communities. We are keen that our Trustee Board reflects this and we welcome applications from people under 30 and/or from a black and ethnic minority.

Our Board meetings are held online. However, we ask that you commit to attending an in-person strategy day each year in Portsmouth and one fundraising event a year (these are held across England). We can support you with training if you have not been a trustee before.

To find out more about joining the Board, please contact our Chair Steve Curtis at: stephen@tonicmusic.co.uk
