Kicking of the Christmas season - Fierce Panda, Tonic Music and End of the Trail combine to welcome the Xmas Club Hoopla #5!
Taking place on 4th December at Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes in Shoreditch, the night promises a unique blend of live performances and inspiring conversations - all fueled by our shared passion for music and mental health, Tonic Music has always believed in the transformative power of music to heal, connect, and uplift.
That is why we are thrilled to be collaborating with Simon Williams, founder of legendary indie label Fierce Panda and author of Pandamonium! How Not to Run A Record Label. Together with our Tonic Music Programmes Lead, Jeordie Shenton. Simon will kick off the evening with an open discussion about Pandamonium!, Tonic Music and mental health in the music industry.
Pandamonium! is Simon Williams’ raw and candid account - chronicling his life at the forefront of indie music. From his days as an NME journalist and XFM radio presenter, to founding the iconic Fierce Panda label, Simon has seen it all - discovering Coldplay, Keane, and more, while surviving the chaos of the music world.
Alongside industry anecdotes, Simon lays bare his personal battles with mental health in a story that is as unflinching as it is inspiring, filled with wit and resilience - offering a relatable and ultimately hopeful narrative.
Simon Williams
Pandamonium! is not just a music memoir - it is a reminder that mental health is part of everyone’s story, even in the most glittering of careers.
Tonic Music and fierce panda have already shared stages at events such as Brighten The Corners in Ipswich, and now they will seek to solidify the relationship moving into 2025 with the charity already being endorsed and promoted by various fierce panda bands on tour.
After this insightful opening, the stage will light up with three incredible live acts - Roadkillers Tarmac bring their gritty punk sound from Margate, delivering energy that’s raw and electrifying. JW Paris follow with their rock’n’roll grooves, promising to keep the party moving. Finally, Brighton’s Korda Korda offer swooning pop soundwaves, a perfect way to close the night on a soaring note.
This event perfectly aligns with Tonic Music’s mission to offer support for those who engage in music - utilising industry-tailored methods.
The Club Hoopla Christmas Party is not just about celebrating music; it is about building a community that understands the importance of music and mental health..
We look forward to making this a night to remember - for the music, the message, and the movement toward better mental health for those who engage in music.
