What is a Healthy Thinking Group?

Tonic Music’s Healthy Thinking Group is a six-week group open to anyone working in the music industry.

Our Healthy Thinking Group is a six-week online group equipping people working in music with mental health skills, including Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. Our groups have supported hundreds of people since there launch in 2021.
“This gives us a non-judgemental space to discuss important topics.”
Our Peer Support Groups are facilitated by qualified mental health practitioners, each with significant experience working in music.
“We will create together a space where it feels comfortable enough to talk about topics like stress, self-criticism, perfectionism, uncertainty, relationships, burnout and maintaining balance in a fast-paced industry.”
This isn’t about pretending things aren’t difficult. It’s about developing healthier, more compassionate and more flexible ways of responding to life’s challenges with a group who get what it’s like to work in music.
By the end of the six weeks, we will each identify one meaningful change that can help support healthier thinking and enhance your wellbeing, leaving with a personalised action plan to put it into practice.”

Our current programme of Peer Support Groups are possible thanks to funding provided by The Christopher Meredith Foundation.
