Night Time Economy Summit 2024

Tonic Rider will be attending the Night Time Economy Summit 2024.



We are delighted to announce the Tonic Rider team will once again be attending the Night Time Economy Summit, Organised by the Night Time Industries Association, the summit will discuss the important role that the night time economy plays in the international economic and cultural recovery both internationally and across the UK. This year the summit will be hosted in Manchester (Freight Island) on 8th/9th February.


As part of the summit, Tonic Rider will be hosting a panel titled ‘Exploring Showtime Highs, Backstage Lows, with the aim of discussing ways the music industry and night time economy can support the mental health of artists and crew at festivals, in venues and on tours. This panel will also highlight the achievements of our backstage mental health support and plans for 2024.


The panel will be moderated by Jeordie Shenton (Tonic Rider Coordinator) and  feature Robbie Ashdown (Head of Events Operations - Tonic Rider), Rowetta (Singer/Songwriter/Mancunian), Seanie T (Dub Pistols / Tonic Ambassador) and Amy Bee Sting (Oh My God! It’s The Church / Tonic Ambassador).




The Tonic Rider panel will be on Friday (3:30-4:15pm) on Stage Four.



This year's Night Time Economy summit promises to be one of the most ambitious events yet, bringing together a diverse range of industry leaders, experts, and visionaries to explore and celebrate the significance of the Night Time Economy. The summit will feature a momentous occasion as the Mayors of the North and West Midlands, Andy Burnham Mayor of Greater Manchester, Tracy Brabin Mayor of East Yorkshire, Andy Street Mayor of West Midlands & Steve Rotherham Mayor of Liverpool City Region come together to discuss the pivotal role of the Night Time Economy in their regions. This unique collaboration highlights the growing recognition of the sector's importance in driving economic growth, fostering creativity, and enhancing the overall quality of life.
