Tonic Music’s Menopause Peer Support Group is the first of its kind in the music industry.

Tonic Music’s Menopause Peer Support Group is a six-week online group exclusively for anyone working in the music industry who is experiencing perimenopause or menopause to come together, share experiences and talk about the impact menopause can have on wellbeing, confidence, identity, creativity and working life.

100% of people who participated in a Peer Support Group were satisfied with the facilitators and co-facilitators.

What is Menopause?

Menopause and perimenopause are a natural part of life. It happens when your periods change and eventually stop due to lower hormone levels. It usually affects anyone who has periods between 45 and 55 but it can happen earlier.

What is a Peer Support Group?

Peer Support Groups offer a confidential, non-judgemental and supportive space for individuals to share experiences and gain the benefits of understanding, validation and support.

Our Peer Support Groups are facilitated by qualified mental health practitioners, each with significant experience working in music.

Who is eligible for the Menopause Peer Support Group?

Anyone who is experiencing, or believes they are experiencing perimenopause or natural, early, premature, medical or surgical menopause and those who are postmenopausal and are still experiencing symptoms.

You do not need a formal diagnosis, to be prescribed HRT or to be experiencing a particular set of symptoms in order to register.

“This peer support group offers people working in the music industry to share their experiences around menopause.” Sarah Williams

Our current programme of Peer Support Groups are possible thanks to funding provided by The Christopher Meredith Foundation.
