In Memory of Zac

We share Zac’s story.

Zac was a ray of sunshine, always smiling and had lots of plans. He loved music, played loads of football, always surrounded by friends and family who adored him. He looked after everyone, took time to ask how everyone was, and when we asked him, he said he was fine, but unfortunately we now know that Zac was not really ‘fine.’
On the 26th April 2026, the world lost Zac, and what a loss at just twenty years old, too young to be gone. As a parting gift he left (among other things) his music, a finished album, but not released. Thanks to those who have helped get this into a shareable format... so we can do what Zac would have wanted - to share his music.
We share Zac’s story so others are aware of what a huge loss his friends and family feel now he’s not here. Zac played a lot to raise money for charities and had he known about Tonic Music he might have still been with us now, probably signing up to be an ambassador. We encourage everyone to share the messages of Tonic Music; offer support, reach out if things get hard, talk, ask for help, ask others if they need help, nothing is more important. Everyone deserves to be here for another day.
"Zac was just starting out, he had so much talent and promise. The world was better with him in it. Look after yourselves, your friends and family. Tomorrow is not promised.”
JO - ZAC'S MUM

Zac’s mum Jo reached out to Tonic Music to share her son’s story, as well as a completed album Zac had made, yet to be released. On 11th June, Zac’s family released his album Dreams by the Sea, a 16 track record filled with raw, heartfelt vocals, indie rock guitar riffs, and expressive lyrics.
We want to be able to share Zac’s music, alongside his family, to get his music heard far and wide.
Listen via iTunes to Dreams by the Sea.
Also available on all major streaming services.

Donate in memory of Zac
Zac’s family have kindly set up an online collection pot to donate to Tonic Music, as well as Brighton Youth Centre, a place where Zac was a strong advocate of their support for young people in Brighton and Hove, as well as crediting them for his music progression.

Tonic Music's Suicide Prevention Plan
There may be times when things feel so bad that you have thoughts to harm yourself. Creating a safety plan can help you think about what to do and who to turn to. Thoughts of suicide and self-harm often reduce in intensity when the immediate crisis has passed.
